Dan joined the VFW Auxiliary in 2020 under the eligibility
of his paternal grandfather who served the Army in Korea, later serving a
decade as Commander of his local VFW Post in Elma, NY. Dan’s grandmother served as a member of the
VFW Auxiliary. His maternal grandfather
also served in the Army during Korea.
Dan’s home is the Auxiliary to Post 1046 in Brockton, serving
as President since November 2024, where during that time, the Auxiliary has
tripled their revenue in their pursuit to serve the Veterans of their community
and was Auxiliary of the Year in their Division. In District 12, he serves as Trustee. He has served the Department as Membership
Chair since October 2025, serves on the Audit Committee, and is Department
Guard.
A lifelong servant of the community, Dan has belonged to
numerous organizations, including as a member of the Kiwanis Family since 1998
serving in many positions, a third-degree member of the Knights of Columbus, a
state judge for DECA, an advisor to Enactus and many more. He was named National Alumni of the Year in
2007 by the National Academy Foundation for his promotion of their mission of
career education in high schools. Dan was
elected to two terms each as a Board of Education Trustee and President for a
large school district in New York. He is
also a routine donor of platelets to the American Red Cross to help those with
cancer.
Professionally, for the last 22
years, Dan has been an insurance broker, assisting seniors navigate their
Medicare insurance options. Additionally, 7 years ago, he became an Investment Advisor
Representative and Series 7 Securities Representative, adding financial
planning and investments to his practice.
